46 and Thankful

So….I just turned 46.

No big party, no deep life crisis (at least not today 😅), but I wanted to take a moment to share something that’s been on my heart lately.

Over the past three years, I’ve managed to do something I never really did before, and it’s not a job promotion, not anything flashy or social media-worthy. It’s this: I’ve been going to Mass every Sunday. Like, regularly. Consistently. Rain or shine, busy or tired.

What’s funny is I’m actually busier now than I was before. Life is packed. But somehow, making time for Mass has become something I truly value. It’s become a part of our family routine, but also a part of me.

And the way I pray has changed too. I don’t really ask for much anymore. These days, my prayers are just…Thank you.

Thank You, Lord, for today.

Thank You for all that You’ve given.

Thank You for what You’ve taken away too, because I trust You know better.

And now that I’m 46, I’ll keep that same prayer:

Thank You for another day.

Thank You for another year.

Nothing fancy. Just grateful.
