Sprint’s Palm Pre To Launch in Stores

Sprint will be launching the new TREO from Palm on June 6. The Palm Pre is a slider PDA phone. Aside from having touchscreen, wi-fi and email capabilities, the phone runs on a WEB operating system with “palm synergy” feature.

Palm Synergy can bring your Outlook, Google and Facebook calendars together in one view. If you have your Contacts in different places, the Pre can link them together, making the information easy to find. Aside from these features the new palm phone is also capable of doing activity cards, combined messaging, universal search, GPS and high resolution photos and videos.

Price will be $199.99 after a $100 mail in rebate for new lines of service and full $150 upgrade eligibility.

One downside is that, we heard the Palm Pre will not have Visual Voicemail, which a lot of corporate customers need.

In contradiction to the intial info that was advertised by Sprint online, the Palm Pre will not launch in Telesales and Sprint.com. We heard that it will launch in Sprint stores and Third Party vendor stores like Best Buys, Walmart and Radioshack. Initial stocks will be easier to manage this way according to Sprint. Once you buy the Pre, Sprint stores can set up the phone for you, voicemail and all.

Literally, there will be pandemonium in Sprint stores on Saturday.

Sprint’s New PDA Pricing

I was surprised when I checked Sprint’s website. Prices of some of their PDA phones when down.

The best selling Blackberry Curve 8330′s new price is now $49.99 after a $100 mail in rebate from $199 (also includes $100 MIR).

Palm Centro’s price went down to $49.99 from $79.99 after a $100 MIR.

International phones like the Samsung ACE and the Blackberry 8830 World Edition’s prices are now made affordable.

This is good news for Sprint customers. For a 2 year agreement, they will be able to avail of these PDA phones and match it with the cheapest and convenient individual and family plans with data.

Are these price changes in preparation for Palm Pre’s launch this June 6? The Pre is a web OS capable PDA phone that everyone is waiting for.

Private Yna Comes Back With New Toy

Welcome to my new blog…well not really, posts were not erased, they were only kept in a private folder in case you’re wondering. The last time i wrote in here was months ago.

I was on vacation guys, sort of. Speaking of new, I have this new toy from Manila. My newest baby, HP Mini 1109TU. I even named her Kyla. Why? I dunno…Ross’ laffy he named it Kevin, after Kevin Mitnick. I just thought Kyla would be perfect for Kevin. Silly thought!
