A List of My Favorite Gurus

For me, they are extraordinary people who made their marks in my life. I was a mediocre person except for some bouts of intelligence exhibited normally during my growing years. God sent out angels in the form of teachers who interfered with my life as if I was a lost sheep. I carry a lasting impression of these great human beings who instilled in me the love for knowledge. Because of them, I am able to survive this bewildered world and make ends meet. And now I make public my undying gratitude for these awesome individuals.

The BS English Test

If there’ s one thing I’m praying for now, that would be not to retake the English exam i took yesterday. I am not willing to sit down on a speaking test again with an examiner who doesn’t know what eye contact and good conversation mean. The need to stay seated for 3 hours straight to listen to people who speak like Harry Potter, to work my brains out trying to write as many words as I can and reading 3 confusing passages is not at all funny. It’s boring.

The 2 cups of brewed coffee and 3 pieces of bacon pancakes that Hubby and I ate for breakfast in the hotel was worth $25 dollars! That MADE my day. Geez, don’t make me go back in there. I’m going to scream.

Not Ready To Get Rich

Ross’ internet marketing business is already kicking off. He often jokes about how we’ll be able to spend loads of money in a day. I told him I’m not ready to get rich yet.

Well of course I was joking too. Truth is, I don’t want to get rich. When people become wealthy, they become mean. And they die young. I want to live forever, enclosed in my simple dreams. If there’s something tangible that I really want, it would be a small house in Tagaytay and a family car. That’s it. Beyond that, I just want to be happy with Ross and our kids.

Common English Mistakes that Make You Look Dumb on Facebook

“They’re” means “they are.” “Their” is possessive.

“You’re” is a combination of you and are. “Your” is the possessive form of you.

“Lose” is the opposite of Win. “Loose” means not tight.

“Advice” is a noun. “Advise” is a verb.

“It’s” is a contraction of it is. “Its” is a possessive pronoun.

When you’re using “do”, “does” or “did,” it is always followed by the base form of the verb.

Battle of the XX and XY

Studies show that women make worst drivers. According to these bastards, we ladies perform poorly in tasks involving navigation and spatial awareness compared to “jerks” (that’s how WE address men nowadays). I beg to disagree. Men drivers are at higher crash risk because they are aggressive and this has a negative effect on their driving. The only violation that we females are always guilty of is right of way.

Against the Clock

Sorry that I have not updated this blog since Saturday. Seems like time is not on my side anymore and a time bomb is ticking and  ready to explode on my face. There are a lot of things going on right now for me.

I drive my son Jaiden to school everyday, I need to finish work and 40 Odesk hours every week. I babysit Maya from 8Pm until 4am. And for the added pressure, I have to work on several personal and work documents and make them current for something BIG that I have been waiting for so long.

Women these days are so busy. I’m not an exception. It’s not that I don’t like what I do now, but I’m totally stressed- out. Strained eyes, darker eyebags, migraine attacks and a pound or two heavier on the bathroom scale. All these resulted from S-T-R-E-S-S.

I miss working out. Running at 5 in the morning right after work and brisk walking around UP’s Sunken Garden.

I miss being ALONE. But I can’t bear the thought of waking every morning without Hubby and my 2 babies beside me. Life is so confusing.

Stress, stress go away. Come again another day. Little Yna wants to play.
