HP Mini Vivienne Tam 2.0

Checkout the new HP Mini Vivienne Tam 2.0 Digital Clutch. It is as chic as the first model, but I like this version 2.0 better. The previous Tam was a red floral limited edition, same as my HP mini 1109TU.

The new Tam clutch has butterfly designs on the lid, and is available in gold champagne color. The butterfly designs are based on a Chinese love story written by Martha Huang, “Butterfly Lovers.”

Vivienne Tam says the new HP mini design symbolizes not only romance and empowerment but also love for nature. The gold tone and the combination of colors serve as mood enhancers as well.

Im sure Mariah Carey fans like my good friend Ace will love it!

Shall I throw my HP mini out of the window and buy the HP Tam 2.0 for Christmas? Dream on Yna!

Consumer Warranty Saga PART II

I decided to COPY and PASTE my previous post to COMPLINK’s website forum, the admin deleted my post. At the back of my mind I knew the admin forwarded the negative post to their product manager because the manager talked to me over the phone about it and she’s willing to make a warranty exemption. Now we’re talking.

Apparently the manager read my post and understood what’s going on. She has promised that the issue will be resolved in her end. She will talk to HP and will check if she can make an exemption because clearly the damage is not customer induced like what the supplier’s technical department said.

I also fumed when I learned that the laptop was already returned from the supplier to the store, and the hinge on BOTH SIDES were already disconnected from the display! Even the store personnel from the store verified that only the right side was disconnected when she submitted it to the supplier.

Now they will have to repair my device or replace it or they will see the WORST of me.

Consumer Warranty

My blood pressure went up, the authorized dealer where I bought my laptop from… voided my warranty! My laptop is less than 6 months old, never been dropped, and never mishandled, no breaks, no scratches. The right side hinge disconnected from the display when Ross lifted the lid! And they called it MISHANDLING, blame it to the customer???!

MODEL: HP mini 1109TU
STORE: COMPLINK SM NORTH EDSA ANNEX BRANCH

DEALER DIAGNOSIS: Checked the unit…Unable to run series of testing. OS has password. Conducted physical inspection, found right side of display assembly is disconnected from the hinge, this case is considered CID (customer induced damage)..END OF REPORT

MY CONCLUSION: So that means, all laptop hinges that HP manufactures are 100 percent crack proof?! When it breaks, it’s automatically the customers’ fault?! THEY GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!

MY SIDE OF THE STORY:

1. If the unit was mishandled or dropped, there should be evidences of breaks, scratches around the device…MY LAPTOP IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION.

2. My laptop’s lid can only be opened to up to 135 degrees, if i opened it with much force let’s say im insane enough to open it 360 degrees, THEN THE HINGE WILL DISCONNECT FROM BOTH SIDES and NOT ON ONE SIDE ONLY. When Ross tried to open it…on 35 degrees the hinge cracked! There’s gotta be a material malfunction or design flaw!

3. The hinge design of the models manufactured after my laptop’s model has changed, is it because HP knows that the previous design was a mess???!

4. The technical person who inspected my laptop is an IDIOT! His diagnosis was not even SPECIFIC and he never mentioned probable causes of the damage!

MY ACTION: I will file a complaint against the store and authorized dealer! I will NEVER pay a penny for repair!

A Lot To Be Thankful For

Hubby and I are celebrating our 4th year wedding anniversary today. Something came up though, Im supposed to be on leave but it was not approved. Damn that scheduler. So here I am, working on my anniversary day. But it’s okay, Im still THANKFUL, I will be on off tom, so the celebration will have to wait until tom. This year it will just be a simple celeb, no whistles and bells, no fancy dinners, no extravagant vacation like last year’s. It will just be a simple family day for the 2 of us and the little brat. We should be fine with that.

Two days ago, Ross opened my mini netbook and the speaker right at the hinge cracked. We were kinda surprised that it cracked when he was just trying to open the netbook’s flap. I can’t use it. All my passwords, pictures, important contacts and nos and my windows live calendar which is the most important of ‘em all are stored in there. I don’t want to try and open the flap coz it might break off completely. However, Im still THANKFUL that it is under warranty. Bought it in Manila last April. Now I have to bring it to the shop where I bought it, and obviously will have to wait days or months to have it fixed or replaced! But then again, that’s okay than not having it fixed at all.

I have been working 5 days straight but haven’t met a single metric or goal. It is hard that you’re trying to kill yourself with work and you get nothing from it. But Im still THANKFUL that no matter how hard work is, I have a job. I will be looking forward to the next 3 weeks.

Last week, Jaiden was down with enteritis. He lost weight because of vomiting and diarrhea. He didn’t want to eat anything, if he tries to he throws up. I was THANKFUL that he always asked for water so in the end he was not dehydrated and didn’t have to stay in the hospital.

I guess there will be bad days for me, although I constantly look at the brighter side and not dwell on the negative. So if you believe, that you are CURSED, then you will be for the rest of your life. But if you have faith and believe that everything happens for a reason, then you will LIVE.
