Speaking of a Good Subordinate
My manager has been giving me memos for ignoring seminars which were scheduled for me. Told her I’d rather go on duty. I hate attending customer-first seminars..find it boring. If they give me trainings on hands-on nursing like critical care or telemetry, I’d be willing to be first on the list! This week, she pushed me to the edge…narrowed my 2 weeks-sked to 11 days work, 2 days off, one RBUT and a whole day of workshop!
Okay fine..if i dont attend this TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT seminar she would surely go NUTS! I thought I’d give it a try…thinking I would just sit down the whole day and listen to a stack-full of lectures and speakers. The seminar proved me wrong… I underwent 8 hours of brainstorming, case analysis and data presentation!
By the time I got home..I feel like my head is floating. Now I know how Ross feels everytime he goes home after work. It’s more tiring to think than do your daily work routine.
